Purpose

This chapter prescribes the policy for the submission of financial data through the Governmentwide Financial Report System (GFRS) and the Federal Agencies' Centralized Trial- Balance System (FACTS I). These systems are integral parts of the Department of Defense (DoD) annual financial statement reporting process. This chapter addresses the basic reporting requirements and identifies specific requirements for the GFRS and the FACTS I data verification process detailed in Volume I of the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), Part 2, Chapter 4700 (VOL I TFM 2-4700), "Agency Reporting Requirements for the Financial Report of the United States Government" (FR).
