Purpose of This Notice. This notice amends Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order JO 7110.65 to incorporate the requirement to include pertinent information executing a handoff or point out. This change also adds speed as an item to coordinate with the relieving controller to highlight the effect of uncoordinated speed adjustments between participating aircraft in a sector. When speed adjustments are controlled, aircraft performance within a receiving controller's sector is improved and aircraft can enter the sector safely.
