This specification covers the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration for an Omnidirectional Approach Lighting System (ODALS). The system consists of seven sequenced omnidirectional capacitor discharge strobe light units and associated equipment to be installed at the approach end of non-precision runways. The system shall include provisions for installation by others of radio remote control equipment.
