QMS08-A2 is intended for use by medical imaging directors, managers, supervisors, and the quality manager as a means to ensure that their services have in place the policies, processes, procedures, activities, and records that support the activities described herein.
Individual service areas, such as diagnostic radiology, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, interventional radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, and nuclear medicine can apply this model to their respective operations. Practical examples are provided for diagnostic radiology services only.
This document applies to diagnostic imaging services only. Therapeutic imaging services are not included.
