Scope and Application.

This FPP applies to FAA ATO personnel performing work at all elevated work areas, where hazards may exist on walking/working surfaces and areas used for access to elevated work areas.

Purpose of This Order.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) seeks to prevent accidents in the workplace by developing employee awareness and training related to workplace hazards. The ATO Fall Protection Program (FPP) is designed to provide guidance to employees, including managers and supervisors, who are directly and/or indirectly involved with work at elevated areas.
