This Standard provides general guidance on the test methods of plastics by exposure to solar radiation. It is applicable to plastics materials of all kinds as well as to products and portions of products. It does not include the black-box exposure test method.

NOTE 1 Description related to the black-box exposure test is given in JIS Z 2381 (see [1] in Bibliography).

NOTE 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
