STANDARD FOR HYDRAULIC TYPE PIPELINE PROTECTIVE DEVICES AS REQUIRED BY NFPA 51

inactive
Organization: CGA
Publication Date: 1 January 2006
Status: inactive
Page Count: 10
scope:

The requirements of this standard cover hydraulic type pipeline protective devices (NFPA designated Pf) for use in fuel gas pipelines supplying equipment without which it may be possible to flow oxygen or air into the fuel gas supply system. Examples of such equipment are torches or burners that internally premix the oxygen (or air) and fuel gas as outlined in NFPA 51, Standard for the Design and Installation of Oxygen-Fuel Gas Systems for Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes [1].1

This standard does not cover devices used in a system where a combustible mixture of fuel gas and oxygen or fuel gas and air is passed through the device.
