Diese Norm legt auf dem Radiokarbonverfahren (14C-Bestimmung) basierende Probenahme- und Analysenverfahren zur Bestimmung des Verhältnisses des aus Biomasse und fossilen Brennstoffen stammenden Kohlendioxids (CO2) im CO2 des Abgases stationärer Quellen fest. Die untere Grenze des Anwendungsbereichs liegt bei einem Anteil des biogenen am gesamten CO2 von 0,02. Der Arbeitsbereich für den Anteil des biogenen am gesamten CO2 reicht von 0,02 bis 1,0.
