This International Standard establishes colour codes expressing the severity of a situation so that people at risk can take appropriate safety actions. This International Standard: - includes guidance on how to use colour codes to inform both people at risk as well as first response personnel. - is applicable to all types of hazard in any location. - does not include the method for displaying colour codes, or detailed ergonomic considerations related with viewing displays. - does not cover graphical symbols covered by ISO 3864-1. NOTE ISO/DIS 22322:2013 addresses public warning messages associated with the notification which are not covered by this standard.
