This Standard specifies the determination methods of iron, manganese, copper, nickel, vanadium, cobalt, lead, zinc, aluminium, cadmium, silver, barium, chromium, chromium (vI), fluorine, silicon, crystalline silica and phosphorus contained in welding fumes generated at the time of welding, dusts suspended in the welding work environment and dusts in the breathing zone of welding workers (hereafter, referred to as "fumes").

In this Standard, the welding indicates the arc welding and the brazing.
