This MIL-STD-3048 establishes the business rules for technical content, style, format, and functionality requirements for technical publications prepared using S1000D, Issue 4.0.1. These rules provide the requirements for the implementation of the S1000D specification for the preparation and development of all United States Air Force (USAF) technical publications for paper, page-oriented and, screen-based Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), irrespective of architecture or display devices.
