scope:
ISO/IEC 30100-1 specifies the minimum requirements of a home network resource 172 management architecture to deliver applications in a safe and future-proof way without being 173 prescriptive. The purpose of this standard is to collect all available home network information 174 from different types of home network elements and protocols, and to provide the inter175 relationships among the elements of this information. This standard also describes user 176 requirements and functional requirements for the management of home network entities as a 177 resource. 178 ISO/IEC 30100-1 specifies management requirements with respect to 179 - device management 180 - network topology 181 - auto-configuration 182 - device diagnosis 183 - software management 184 This document specifies how a home resource management system defines, organises, 185 diagnoses, manages home resources and combines them. This document does not specify 186 what kind of resources will be defined. 187 This part of ISO/IEC 30100 specifies the minimum requirements of a home network resource 188 management architecture in order to deliver applications in a safe and future-proof way 189 without being prescriptive. It also describes user requirements and functional requirements. 190 This part of ISO/IEC 30100 191 - defines resources of a home network such as devices, networks and services, 192 - specifies an information model of the relationship among home network resources and 193 - specifies management application procedures based on home resource model. 194 This document defines new terminology for resources (abstraction of device, network, service 195 and location) in the home area network. It also specifies the general information model and 196 relationship of resources. 197 This document specifies how a home resource management system defines, organises, 198 diagnoses, manages the home resources and combines them. This document does not 199 specify what kind of resources will be defined. 200 The architecture of this standard is targeted for generic usage. Countermeasures are needed 201 to protect the security and privacy of information from home devices. For example, there are 202 laws and regulations for smart grids, health care, credit card solutions, etc. Corresponding 203 security and privacy policies are needed for each application. A suitable data structure (XML 204 schema) for security policies is needed in each usage category.
