Diese Richtlinie gibt dem Verarbeiter von Halbfabrikaten aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen Hinweise zur Ermittlung von Kennwerten als Berechnungsgrundlage für den Behälter-, Apparate- und Lüftungsbau sowie für Industrierohrleitungen. Vorausgesetzt wird, dass bei der Wahl der Werkstoffe und ihrer Verarbeitung die Regelwerke gemäß Abschnitt 7.1 beachtet werden. Die Angaben gelten für überwiegend statische Beanspruchung. Für die Berechnung, Maße, Ausführung und Prüfung der verschiedenen Konstruktionen gelten die jeweiligen DVS-Richtlinien bzw. -Merkblätter sowie die einschlägigen DIN-, EN- und ISONormen. Die Zuständigkeiten bestimmter Rechtsgebiete (zum Beispiel Baurecht, Wasserrecht, Gewerberecht usw.) sind zu beachten.
