scope:
PURPOSE. This Instruction establishes Commandant (CG-0952) as the governance authority responsible for the Coast Guard's business intelligence processes, policies and procedures, including enterprise decision-support and business intelligence tools and methodologies. Establishment and promulgation of the Coast Guard Business Intelligence Framework (hereafter stated as "Framework") is essential for implementation of a successful Business Intelligence program. This Instruction defines Business Intelligence, and outlines the framework for the Coast Guard's Business Intelligence and decision support implementation.
