This specification covers circle cutters with a self-centering device, capable of accurately cutting holes in various materials (see 3.3.1) and in very thin metals to a center punched mark without the use of a pilot hole.
Circle cutters and sets of cutters shall be of the following types and sets as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Circle cutters, self-centering Type II - Sets Set 1 - 3/16 through 21/32 Set 2 - 11/16 through 1-5/32 Set 3 - 1-3/16 through 1-19/32 Set 4 - 1-⅝ through 2-1/32
