SCOPE OF AGREEMENT
a. This agreement is concerned primarily with the ability of ground role equipment to operate after immersion and to resist the adverse effects of immersion. The possibility, however, that equipment may occasionally be required to operate whilst immersed is also taken into account.
b. This agreement allows flexibility in respect of immersion requirements for the equipment defined in para 8a. Sponsors may, however, insist that any equipment that is vital to operations is to be capable of resisting any immersion which might occur when the equipment is crossing water, of depth negotiable by the specified prime mover, without becoming inoperable.
Note: In the case of hand-held equipment, the prime mover is considered to be the serviceman on foot.
