This standard applies to new and altered London Underground station platforms; including setting out, paving, surfacing, edging, tactile strips, safety markings, Platform Accessibility Humps and requirements when platform edge doors (PED's) are installed.

For platform structure and loading requirements, refer to the Standard S1053 Civil Engineering - Building and Station Structures.

Purpose
