Purpose
This regulation prescribes Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) authority, policy, and responsibilities for the operation of the Army Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) and for the Amateur Radio Program with stations on Army installations or other locations under Army control. It further implements Department of Defense (DOD) Instruction (DODI) 4650.02.
