This specification covers the procurement requirements for the Expeditionary Barrier System (EBS) which is a cellular welded wire mesh gabion system that is lined with geotextile fabric to contain fill material. The EBS is intended for use as a rapidly deployable force protection barrier that is collapsible for transport and then filled on-site with soil or other material to obtain structural integrity and protective performance. It is designed for use in expedient force protection barrier wall construction for expeditionary and austere environments.
