Tentative Method of Test for SKID RESISTANCE OF PAVEMENTS USING A TWO-WHEEL TRAILER
|Publication Date:||1 January 1965|
This method covers the measurement of the skid resistance values of pavements using a two-wheel towed trailer.
The two-wheel towed trailer unit is a steady state sliding tester that measures the force on the locked test wheel or wheels as it is dragged over a test surface at a constant velocity.
The values measured represent the frictional properties obtained with this equipment using the procedures stated herein; and these values will not necessarily agree or correlate with those obtained with other slipperiness measuring equipment.
