scope:
This part of IEC 60312 is applicable to wet cleaning appliances for household use for cleaning of carpeting in or under conditions similar to those in households. The purpose of this standard is to specify essential performance characteristics of wet cleaning appliances being of interest to the users and to describe methods for measuring these characteristics and is complementary to the methods for dry cleaning vacuum cleaner in IEC 60312-1.
