Standard Test Methods for RUBBER PROPERTIES IN TENSION
|Publication Date:||28 March 1980|
|ICS Code (Rubber):||83.060|
These methods cover the tension testing of rubber at various temperatures. Measurements of tensile stress at given elongations, tensile strength, ultimate elongation, and tensile set are included. The methods are not applicable to the testing of ebonite and similar hard, low-elongation materials.
The agreement between data from Method A and Method B specimens is generally very good. However, when such specimens are used, the results should be compared only with those obtained from specimens of similar size and shape.
