Introduction

Intent

The intent of this procedure is to determine the inside diameter of the ferrule hole in an optical fiber connector ferrule.

Accuracy and precision

The precision of the method is affected by the incremental differences in the outer diameters of the calibrated wire set used for the measurement. The accuracy of the method is controlled by the calibration of the calibrated wire set.

Applications

This procedure is applicable to all optical fiber connectors.
