This standard is intended to be used by licensed design professionals (LDPs) and provides minimum requirements for the design of shallow post-tensioned concrete foundations on expansive soils. Internal forces and stiffness requirements specified in this standard shall be used for design of all ribbed and uniform-thickness post-tensioned foundations built on soils that satisfy the criteria specified in Section 4.1.
