scope:
This Standard specifies the backlashes of bevel gears which satisfy the following s pecifica tions.
a) Gear accuracy grade: B2 to B 11 (see JIS B 1704)
b) Outer normal module: 0.5 mm to 25 mm
c) Outer pitch circle diameter: 3 mm to 1 600 mm
This Standard applies to normal backlashes to the tooth flank of steel bevel gear pairs mounted at the designed position on a gear roll test machine. This Standard is also applicable to the bevel gears made of cast iron or sintered metal.
