Organization: JSA
Publication Date: 21 October 2013
Status: active
Page Count: 15
ICS Code (Surface treatment): 25.220.20
ICS Code (Aluminium and aluminium alloys): 77.120.10
scope:

This Standard specifies the breakdown test and the withstand voltage test of sealed anodic oxidation coatings (hereafter referred to as "coatings") on aluminium and aluminium alloy products (hereafter referred to as "products").

The methods are not applicable to coatings in the vicinity of cut edges, the edges of holes, sharp changes of angle on, for example, extruded shapes or burrs.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 2376: 2010 Anodizing of aluminium and its alloys-Determination of electric breakdown potential (MOD)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
