Supplementary to AD 2000-Merkblatt HP 0, this AD 2000-Merkblatt deals with the type and scope of non-destructive tests, the assessment of indications on welded joints in pressure vessels and pressure-bearing pressure vessel components as well as the supervision of testing.
The requirements for non-destructive test methods are stated in Appendix 1 to this AD 2000-Merkblatt.
This AD 2000-Merkblatt applies to pressure vessels subjected to static loading. For pressure vessels subjected to pulsating stress within the meaning of AD 2000-Merkblatt HP 801, No. 15, the requirements of 6.2 of AD 2000-Merkblatt S 1 and 11.2 of AD 2000-Merkblatt S 2 also apply.
