This Addendum to TIA-917 specifies priority treatment for Wireless Priority Service (WPS) in the access network.

Purpose

This Addendum enables a National Security and Emergency Preparedness (NS/EP) call to be given priority treatment in the access network prior to the call being identified as an NS/EP call at the MSC.
