Purpose. To define the reporting relationships, roles, and responsibilities of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS), Command Information Officer (CIO) (BUPERS-07) , and to d~legate the authorities necessary to draft and implement policy related to the management of information technology (IT) assets and resources. Enclosure (1) lists applicable references.

Applicability. This instruction applies to all activities that fall under BUPERS and manage/own IT assets or resources that are funded under Budget Submitting Office 00022.
