scope:

This standard covers Surveillance CCTV, Access control and Intruder detection systems designed and installed for the following applications;

a. Stations

b. Depots and sidings

c. LU Rolling Stock

d. Substations

e. Specified Locations

f. Specified infrastructure

g. Ventilation and escape shafts 

This standard covers the integration and interoperability requirements for these systems when they are configured as networks; to enable local or remote access and control via local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) connectivity.

This standard applies to LU staff, projects and business units including their contractors involved in the design, delivery and maintenance of surveillance and security systems. 

This standard covers remote viewing of CCTV services provided to (but not limited to) Service control centres, British Transport Police, Group station control, and Command and Control centres. 

OPO (One Person Operation) CCTV used for station Platform to Train Interface (PTI) surveillance and train despatch are not covered this is covered in 1-150. 

This standard supersedes SCS-ST- 0015, SCS-ST-0011, SCS-ST-0012, 1-334 and G-334

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to define the minimum operational, system and technical requirements for Surveillance and Security systems deployed across London Underground (LU)
