scope:
This standard specifies a method for the gas-chromatographic determination of nicotine in cigarette smoke condensates. The smoking of cigarettes and collection of mainstream smoke is normally carried out according to ISO 4387. However, the method is also applicable to the determination of nicotine in cigarette smoke condensate obtained by non-standard smoking.
