Purpose of This Notice.
This notice reviews a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) policy revision to FAA Order 8900.1, Flight Standards Information Management System (FSIMS). Specifically, the review is for Volume 3, Chapter 18, Section 2, Paragraph 3-713 concerning the use of operations specifications (OpSpecs) nonstandard authorizations. The revision includes additional requirements to perform when approving or revising the OpSpec nonstandard language entries.
