This Instruction applies to:
a. Civilian employees
b. Military members who serve as public officials for civilian employment and advancement purposes, and
c. Non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who serve as public officials for civilian employment and advancement purposes
PURPOSE. This Instruction provides guidance on interpreting restrictions contained in references (a) through (g) on both the employment of relatives and advocating for the employment of relatives to a civilian position.
