To set forth guidelines for selecting fasteners used in the cooling tower industry.
To identify and specify materials typically used in cooling tower fasteners. List and define what physical and chemical properties are to be recommended in cooling.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this guideline is to identify commercially available fasteners which are suitable for various applications, taking into account both corrosion resistance and strength requirements for the construction of cooling towers.
These guidelines are to be based on criteria to be established by the design engineer.
