scope:
This Standard applies to information provided using the media of LU posters and LU leaflets. Information provided using other means is dealt with in other related standards.
This Standard applies to information intended primarily for customers and the general public. Whilst the information may be of benefit to LU staff, this Standard does not address the information requirements for LU staff.
This Standard describes the general issues associated with the provision of poster and leaflet information but does not cover the detailed content of such information or the style of presentation.
A mechanism has been agreed between LU and suppliers for managing the placement of posters and leaflet racks throughout every LU station (currently involving a 'poster plan' for each station, see clauses 3.1.4 and 3.2.3 below). This Standards supports, not replaces, any such mechanism.
This standard addressees and supports customers service delivery issues of
• Customer information;
• Ambience;
• Posters; and
• Leaflets
insofar as they relate to information on posters and leaflets in stations.
This Standard shall be enforceable from March 2004.
Purpose
The purpose of this Standard is to define the requirements for information provided to customers and the general public at London Underground (LU) Stations using posters and leaflets.
