This Standard applies to all routes over which London Underground and its partners operate passenger trains.

The information derived from this process must inform the training and performance/competence management of all people authorised to operate trains over the route.

Line Route Risk Assessments are specifically concerned with providing information to control aspects of

• the risk of a signal being passed at danger without authority and

• the risks associated with the platform train interface as trains depart stations.

Purpose

The purpose of this Standard is to describe the process by which Line Route Risk Assessments are carried out and how they are to be used to inform train-operation management and training.
