This Guidance is for use by London Underground and Suppliers when:

a) Procuring and designing new assets,

b) Altering and redesigning existing assets,

c) Supporting, developing and maintaining new, altered and existing assets.

Purpose 

The purpose of this Guidance is to support the Project Management Framework product, LU-PD-10583 'Obsolescence Strategy', published by London Underground and to provide general guidance for:

Identifying and mitigating the effects of obsolescence

Recovering decommissioned assets and components.
