Purpose. This manual provides technical guidance for specifying requirements and performing hydrographic surveys of USACE river and harbor navigation projects, water control projects, and shore protection projects.
Applicability. This manual applies to all USACE commands having responsibility for civil works navigation, flood risk management, multi-purpose water supply/control, coastal storm damage reduction, hurricane protection, multi-purpose water supply/control, and hydropower projects.
