All cables fitted to equipment on Submarines are to be sheathed with medium density polyethylene and are to be passed through the equipment by suitable moulded polyethylene glands. Cables with Polychloroprene (PCP) or Chlorosulphonated Polyethylene (CSP) sheaths are not to be used except when approved by the Warship Support Agency/ Marine Electrical Systems 2 (WSA/MLS2).
