(a) These specifications cover two grades of molybdenum wire less than 20 mils in diameter, as follows:

Grade 1.-Commercially pure molybdenum wire suitable for leads, hooks, supports, metal to glass seals, and heater wire.

Grade 2.-Commercially pure molybdenum wire suitable for mandrels.

(b) The term wire applies to all material that is spooled or coiled and in short cut lengths 0.020 in. or less in diameter.
