Organization: ASTM
Publication Date: 29 July 1974
Status: inactive
Page Count: 6
scope:

This method is irtended for use as a relatively rapid test to evaluate the chemical resistance of thermosetting resins used in the fabrication of glass fiber reinforced self-supporting structures under anticipated service conditions of use. This method provides for the determination of changes in the properties described in 1.1.1 through 1.1.4 of the test specimens and test reagent after exposure of the specimens to the reagent:

Hardness,

Appearance of specimen,

Appearance of immersion media, and

Flexural strength.

NOTE 1-The values stated in U.S. customary units are to be regarded as the standard.
