NATO - ATP-3.3.3.1

AIR-MARITIME CO-ORDINATION PROCEDURES

inactive
Organization: NATO
Publication Date: 1 March 2005
Status: inactive
Page Count: 61
scope:

The aim of ATP-3.3.3.1 is to explain Air-Maritime Coordination Procedures (AMCP) and in conjunction with AJP-3.3.3 - Air-Maritime Coordination (AMC), replaces ATP-34(B) - Tactical Air Support for Maritime Operations (TASMO). This document is intended as a ready reference for both the aviator and the maritime warfare officer. Air-Maritime, in the context of this document, identifies the cooperative nature of missions employing air and maritime forces as mutually supporting elements.

Although ATP-3.3.3.1 is primarily intended for NATO forces, the procedures are also applicable to operations within the framework of a Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) in a multinational force of NATO and non-NATO nations.

Exclusions. This publication does not include procedures for Air-Maritime Coordination (AMC) in the Amphibious Objective Area; these procedures are detailed in ATP-8.
