The material defined by this standard is a water (10 grains CaCO 3 equivalent max, as determined by conductivity measurement) diluted chromic/phosphoric acid final rinse. It is intended to impart a corrosion resistant coating and a base for subsequent application of organic finish or paint on steel and/or galvanized parts which have been processed through a chromate conversion coating system.
