Scope and Purpose
This standard is concerned with the hazards fo fire, storm, collapse, and panic, and covers the construction, location, protection and maintenance of tents and air-supported structures sued for places of assembly; temporary, permanent and portable grandstands and bleachers; interior folding or telescopic seating normally used in gymnasiums, multi-use rooms and similar indoor mass seating as differentiated from grandstands and bleachers intended primarily to support persons for purposes of assembly for outdoor use.
