This standard is based on the International Standard ISO 258 1-1975,Plastics-Rigid cellular materials - Determination of "apparent" thermal conductivity by means of a heat-flow meter. The standard ISO 2581 applies to cellular plastic materials only, whereas the present standard is also applicable to other materials. The method that is described in this standard corresponds in its symmetrical arrangement (S) to what is known as "the Lang method", as published by D.L.Lang .....
