scope:
This specification establishes the performance, design, test, manufacture and acceptance requirements for the TACAN antenna system. This specification also describes a TACAN antenna system consisting of two major functional units, a radiating antenna, and a signal generating function. This TACAN antenna system will replace the present RTA-2 antenna system.
intended Use:
The equipment covered by the specification is intended for use as a replacement for existing FAA TACAN antennas.
