This specification covers the detail requirements for a silicon, voltage-variable-capacitor diode for use in tuning and harmonic generator applications. The prefix "TX" is used on devices submitted to and passing the special process-conditioning, testing, and screening specified in 4.5 through 4.5.7.3. The prefix "TXV" is used on devices submitted to and passing the internal visual inspection specified in 4.6.
