This section of Part 2 of IEC Publication 598 specifies requirements for recessed luminaires for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V. This section does not cover air-handling luminaires. It is to be read conjunction with those sections of Part I to which reference is made.
