The Standard relates to a one-pack quick drying petrol and oil resisting paint. It is available in red oxide (BS 381C colour No 446) or dark brown (BS 381C colour No 412). It is intended for use in sealing concrete floors against dust and light contamination by petrol and oil. It is also suitable for use on apparatus where a decorative finish is not a prime requirement, (eg waste bins, solvent bins, and stand pipes).
Where heavy contamination with petrol and oil can occur it is recommended that a two-pack, high build, heavy duty coating is used.
