This notice requires Flight Standards District Offices (FSDO) to ensure that all designated pilot examiners (DPE) in their district have incorporated runway safety elements in their written plan of action for both the knowledge (oral) and flight portions of the practical test. This notice applies to all FSDOs and those aviation safety inspectors (ASI) responsible for DPE surveillance and inspection.
